Why pledge? Because over 90% of our income is pledged by households. Pledges enable the Vestry and church staff to exercise responsible planning for our life together and thereby be good stewards of all facets of that life.

As always, your leadership is committed to waiting until your pledges are received to formulate St. Catherine's operating budget for 2009.

Please consider the following:

St. Catherine's annual operating costs for 2008 are $702,000
We have about 350 active households 211 of which pledged $634,388 to our operating budget in 2008.
Almost one-half of our operating budget supports our staff, while another third goes to support our buildings and operations while the remaining 20% goes to support adult education, outreach and denominational support, and pastoral care.
Rising costs, as well as expansions in programming, are consequently met by the commitments made through the Stewardship Campaign.
It is most prudent to look to our current membership for robust support of our programming.
