St. Catherine's Youth Pilgrimage

(Reflecting on the Pilgrimage)
We fly on Wednesday,June 15th, from Atlanta to Washington Dulles and on to Manchester, England arriving early Thursday morning.  We drive to York where we will see York Minister, the largest gothic church in Great Britain.  We'll visit the Jorvik Viking Center and then continue to our hotel outside of Durham for dinner and the night.
 
Friday, June 17th, we will hike between Jedburgh Abbey and Melrose Abbey.  These churches were built in the 12th Century.  We will spend the night at Berwick-upon-Tweed.
 
Saturday, June 18th, we head for Lindisfarne, known to many as Holy Island.  We will tour this beautiful island and attend Evensong services at St. Mary the Virgin Anglican Church. 
 
Sunday,June 19th, we attend services at St.Mary's Anglican Cathedral in Edinburgh and afterwards tour Edinburgh.  We will see Edinburgh Castle, St. Margaret's Chapel and the Royal Mile.  We spend the night near Edinburgh.
 
Monday, June 20th we depart for the west coast of Scotland, stopping at Stirling Castle for a tour.  We continue to the coastal village of Oban where we will overnight.
 
Tuesday, June 21st, we go by ferry to the Isle of Mull and then on to IONA.  We spend three days on IONA, joining up with Fr. Jim who arrives Wednesday morning, exploring the island, walking the labyrinth, seeing the Abbey, worshipping with the local community and taking a boat ride around the islands.
 
Friday, June 24th we head to Loch Lomond for a cruise and end up in Glasgow for our "farewell to Great Britain dinner" and overnight.
 
Saturday,June 25th the Pilgrims will be up early to get to the Edinburgh airport for the return flight home.  They fly from Edinburg to Manchester, England, to Washington, DC to Atlanta.
 
Each day we will have time for prayer and meditation, journaling and fellowship.  We ask your prayers for us.
