St. Catherine's Parish Administration and Facilities

The Parish Administration and Facilities Team is responsible for the effective operation, maintenance and upkeep of the church buildings; the development and upkeep of the grounds and the landscaping; and the extensive communication network including publication of The Wheel - the Parish Newsletter, maintenance of the St. Catherine's web site, www.stcatherines.org publication of the worship service bulletins, Lenten Reflections and much more.  The Team works closely with the Vestry, the clergy and the staff to ensure this.  For additional information, please contact the Convener, Bill Selby

Parish Administration and Facilities

 Personnel Committee     Scott Lummus

The personnel committee reviews, revises, develops and maintains human resource policies that follow the model of the Finance Committee.

Building Repairs     Roger Motter

Maintenance and care of our buildings is often accomplished using the time and talent of parishioners. Major jobs are contracted, but need supervision and planning skill. A Parish Workday is scheduled each spring and fall to clean up and spruce up our church home.

IT Support Paul Manno

The church has a small networked system of computers and support hardware. Volunteers help solve hardware and software problems and optimize the use of existing hardware as well as plan for the future.

Friday Morning Folders    Jamie Harding

Friday morning folding brings members of the congregation together to prepare Sunday bulletins, special mailings, the newsletter and to have some time for conversation and community building. Special folding parties are scheduled for Christmas and Easter, when additional support is needed.

Grounds Teams     Ron Brannock

Teams are scheduled throughout the spring, summer and fall to maintain our grounds by mowing, sweeping, weeding and general grounds maintenance. Teams are scheduled on a rotating basis and each has a captain who assigns specific areas of work. This opportunity allows some freedom of scheduling of work. We also need people who are willing to care for our beautiful plantings around the grounds, especially flower-tending and watering during the hot summer months.

Office Support Jamie Harding,

The office staff frequently needs support during heavier times of the year (Christmas and Easter, for example) as well as people who are willing to provide vacation coverage. A willingness to learn the technology and interface with the congregation and public are needed to make this position a fulfilling experience.

Planting Party and Picnic     Gail McGill

Work days are scheduled in spring and fall for the parish, young and old alike, to pitch in as good stewards and care for our plantings and grounds. Bring your hands and heart, bring the kids and friends and help us spruce up our flowers, trees and shrubs for the season.

Website Maintenance     Ron Bergeron

Our webmaster needs a few volunteers to work under his direction to maintain our website.

The Wheel Newsletter     Karen Manno

The Wheel has two issues each month. To subscribe, please send your street address and email address to the church office. On the third Friday of the month a printed Wheel is mailed to all parish families. On the first Friday the Internet-published eWheel is available on the church website at www.stcatherines.org. You may view it on any Internet-connected computer or print your own copy to read. Additional printed copies of the Wheel/eWheel are available in the lobby.

We welcome your contributions of news and photos of interest to the parish! Please submit items to editor Karen Manno via email to karen@stcatherines.org or send them to The Wheel mailbox at church. The deadline is any time on the Wednesday before publication.
