Catechesis of the Good Shepherd
Young Lambs
In Young Lambs the two to three and a half year old child spends time
enjoying and nurturing a relationship with the Good Shepherd. This is
preparation for the child's future years in the atrium, but it is also a
precious time in their spiritual lives. It is our joy to work with children
this young and to introduce them to the one who calls them by name.

Young Lambs will have the following presentations twice and then be
integrated into the Level One atrium around mid-February:

I am the light of the world
I am the Good Shepherd
Psalm 23:1
Altar Work
Liturgical Colors
Birth of Jesus
Adoration of the Shepherds
Adoration of the Magi
Parable of the Leaven
Practical Life
Prayer

Young Lambs is unlike the other atria in that there is a lot of hand work
and art produced. Sometimes it is time to be in the atrium, and sometimes it
is time to be in God's creation (or the playground). We are attuned to the
child's need for joyful expression and motion.
