The One Year Program is designed to provide a fun day for your child in a safe and loving environment with teachers who interact, listen, and talk with them. The One Year Old Room is filled with age appropriate toys, books, and puzzles that provide opportunities for your child to socialize with other children their own age and to learn age-appropriate skills. A 20 minute music class lead by our on-staff music teacher is also part of each school day.

Every preschool day includes playtime, both indoor & outdoor, morning snack (we provide), music, and lunch (you provide). Each month we introduce different letters, shapes and colors and further reinforce these concepts with age-appropriate activities and projects.  Additionally, these projects are a way to begin basic hand-eye coordination skills.

A labeled tote/diaper bag is needed each school day and should include an ample supply of diapers, one labeled sippy cup (both top & bottom sections), a lunch, and a complete change of weather appropriate clothes.

For most one year olds this is his or her very first experience in a group setting away from mom and dad.  We believe this should be a happy time for both parent and child. We appreciate the trust you place in us when you allow us to care for your child.

Our Two-Year-Program is designed to provide a safe and nurturing environment in which children can play and learn. We make every effort to encourage social and individual growth through our small class size and age appropriate activities (this includes just having fun!).  Each day consists of playtime (indoor & outdoor), snack (we provide), story time, art, music, and lunch (you provide).

The Goals of the Two’s program are working on developing fine and gross motor skills, encouraging toilet independence, transitioning from independent play to interactive play, developing listening skills, learning to follow directions and transitioning through daily activities.  Introduction to these skills are the first steps that start your child in the right direction to thrive in future preschool/school settings. Our curriculum introduces the students to the alphabet, the eight primary colors, the four basic shapes, the numbers 1 -10 and basic self-care skills.

For many Two’s this is their very first experience in a large group setting away from home. Therefore, it is of the greatest importance that this be a happy time, and one that will be a foundation on which to build for many years to come.

The Three Year Program is designed to provide your child with a fun-filled day that is academically appropriate and allows each child to progress at his or her own pace. Teachers provide guided support while working closely with parents. We consider a child’s social and individual development to be an important part of our program. We also believe that learning to get along with others, sharing, cooperating, using good manners; developing self–confidence and self-control are essential skills which we make every effort to teach. We strongly recommend your child be completely potty trained prior to the start of school. The 3 yr. old classrooms are not equipped with changing facilities and the time it takes to change a child requires the teacher to be away from other planned activities. In addition, most children this age are embarrassed and/or reluctant to allow an adult, other than a parent, to change them

Our new 3yr. curriculum has received rave reviews from our teachers. “Read It Once Again” is a literary unit based curriculum that reinforces memory skills, sequencing skills, and increases vocabulary. These skills are necessary to provide a solid educational foundation in preparation for higher levels of learning. The activities of each unit correlate with Georgia Early Learning Standards (O-3) and include the areas of language, reading readiness, fine and gross motor, and daily living and socialization skills. Each month a different children’s book will be focused on with fun art projects and challenging worksheets. We explore such favorite authors as Eric Carle and Margaret Wise Brown. The threes will learn a lot and will be eager to share their new discoveries! We’re looking forward to wonderful year with your child and you.

Our Four-Year-Old curriculum inspires investigation, exploration, manipulation and creative expression. Young children learn by doing and we include many activities in a classroom setting that make learning fun and exciting. We keep our environment relaxed, which allows children the opportunity to develop at their own pace. Our goal is to have your child well prepared for kindergarten. We do this by providing more structured learning times, as well as putting into place many new opportunities to learn responsibility, listening skills and self control. We have found the key to success in kindergarten classroom is self-confidence.  This applies to all areas of development academic, social and emotional.

We believe this is a pivotal year in developing a child’s attitude toward school. Learning is a creative life-long process which for children begins in play and flourishes in wonder, discovery and active involvement in first hand experiences which have meaning for them. Our Preschool seeks to provide a strong foundation on which to build your child’s future.
