Medical Clinic Construction
St. Catherine's supported
the construction of a medical clinic at the San Alfonso Episcopal Mission
Church which is located 18 miles from Ambato, Ecuador. The construction
of the clinic was completed on November 25, 2000. The work was accomplished
by parishoners and by people from the surrounding indigenous community.
The second phase includes installation of the medical equipment and furniture,
inspection of the clinic by the Provincial Director of Health, and approval.

The clinic will be staffed by an Ecuadorian doctor and serve the surrounding
community.
