Sunday / 6.8.03; Morning
greeted the group gladly at 6am MST. Prior to the
morning service, the group discussed
meditation and received the rosary
gifts kindly presented by the
St. Cat's DOK. As part of this discussion,
the group received rocks containing
their daily mantra. These mantra's were
the theme for the day and were
different for each member. Finally, Delta
was kind enough to return our
two bags (as shown in the attached pictures)
today, resulting in much rejoicing
and teeth brushing.
After getting our bags, the group
settled in for a quick (4 hr) road trip
from Colorado Springs to Arroyo
Seco, NM. The trip ended at the Taos
Mountain Retreat Center, where
the group was greeted by hordes of Chihuahua,
emus, dogs, sheep, geese, goats,
and two soprano ostriches. Mark was
savagely nuzzled when he befriended
an emu. The group next learned that
clearing the mind and focusing
on breathing in / out 10 times in not an easy
task. After this heavy
work, the group proceeded to discover the true
flavor of SW food (translated
'jeepers, that's hot!') at the historic Old
Blinking Light cantina.
Kevin (kindly bringing his trusty laptop) joined in
the fun at this time, after recovering
from Nathan's first birthday!!
