Congregation Survey -- Your input needed by May 15. The Vestry of St. Catherine’s is working to improve How We Invite/Involve, How We Communicate, and How We Work Together. We need your input to help guide us. We have created questions which can be answered on-line using the following link:

We hope to get input from everyone ages 12 to 100.  Paper copies of the survey are also available in the church office.  Please take a few minutes now to complete your answers, and remind all those in your family that they should also complete the survey.
 
Cats On Wheels trip to "Godspell" this Wednesday, May 7 -- The St. Cat's active senior adults group is going to see the Theatrical Outfit's production of "Godspell" at 2:30 pm, at the Balzer Theater at Herren's, 84 Luckie Street, Atlanta 30303. If you wish to ride-share, meet at the church parking lot at 1:30. Contact the box office for tickets if you did not preorder from Alan Certain. Information at www.theatricaloutfit.org.

Pentecost Sunday, May 11 -- Wear red to either the 8:45 or 11:15 services as we celebrate and ask God to renew us with gifts of the Holy Spirit.

Inquirer’s Class -- No class this Sunday, May 11. We'll continue next Sunday, May 18 through June 8, 3-5 PM. This class is for newcomers to St. Catherine's, to the Episcopal Church, and also established members who want to refresh their understanding of the church. While attendance is not required for all sessions, it will be to your benefit to be there.

Youth House build, Saturdays, May 10 & 17. We are in the home stretch of completing construction on our youth house. We need as many hands on deck as possible. We'll finish the soffit, build the deck and porch and install interior doors and trim. Also, weekdays through May 16 -- many projects to prepare the house for the major weekend work, contact Fred Massey (f_massey2hotmail.com) or 4/731.4466. and he will be glad to assign one or two of them to you.

Host families needed NOW for our visitors, adults and children, from our partner parish in Whiterocks, UT. Their visit will be June 14-21. We have lots of great activities planned for the week, individual and for the whole community! If you can help with hosting please contact Ginny Lummus ASAP, gslummus@gmail.com. And even if you are unable to host, please plan to join us as a parish in welcoming St. Elizabeth's to Marietta!!

WNL continues through May 14 -- Wednesday Night Live continues  with dinner & programs for all age groups. Sign up for meals each week by 5 PM on the Tuesday before in your bulletin or contact Amelia Snider, 770-971-2839.

Sunday, May 18 -- Last Day of Church School (9 AM) / Parish Picnic follows 10:30 worship. Come celebrate the start of summer with a picnic! Your donations go to benefit the St. Catherine’s College Book Scholarship Fund. We will have two services ONLY this day at 7:30 and 10:30 am.

Sunday, May 25 -- Summer worship time schedule begins. Worship at 8:00 and 10:30 AM, Coffee available at 7:30; Breakfast at  8:45-9:45 AM, Lemonade Brigade following 10:30 service. 

Women Supporting Women -- Women Supporting Women is a community of women who have lost spouses either through death or divorce. The group offers fellowship and education. May's meeting is an outing to the Swan Coach House, on Saturday, May 17. We will meet up at church at 10:30 so that we can drive together and arrive by 11:30 AM. (The cost of lunch is own your own.) Adult Christian Ed class begins June 1 -- "Since Paul wrote to the Corinthians twice, does that mean they wrote back?" The vote is in, we will be offering an Adult Christian Education each Sunday in June, 9:15-10:15 (no class June 22). We'll study who this Paul guy was, why he was writing these letters, and three or four really great lessons we learn from them. This is an opportunity for all those who teach on Sunday to enjoy some time to refill the pitcher, and anyone else who might be interested. (Nursery will be available, but no program for older children.) 

Summer Church School: "Come to the Country Fair" -- We will be offering an intergenerational church school class July 20, July 27, August 3 and August 10. The theme is a St Catherine’s Country Fair and will feature activity booths, singing and fun for all ages. If you would like to volunteer to assist with the booths, please contact Barbara Garner at barbaragarner@bellsouth.net. We look forward to seeing you at the fair!

Pictorial Directories have arrived! -- Pictorial directories are now available for pick-up before and after all church services in the foyer. If your family participated, there will be a directory with your name on the back ready for you to take home. If your family did not participate or is new to the church, we do have extras. Young Families’ Adult Dinner -- Friday, May 30, 5:30-7:30 PM, an adults-only dinner in the Parish Hall. Nursery available for ages 1 and up while we gather to eat and discuss ideas for future young family activities and offerings. We will send out more details soon.

Next New Orleans Trip -- Our next trips to New Orleans to support the Episcopal Diocese of New Orleans in rebuilding are June 18-23 and October 8-13. To find out more or to sign up for a trip, please check the Opportunities for Ministry in your bulletin or contact Sue or Al Jones, 770-565-1013.

ESL volunteers -- We're looking for volunteers interested in helping in any way with the ESL (English as a Second Language) program we are beginning at St. Catherine's.
