VBS continued today as we learned about Jonah and the whale. We made shell frames and tomorrow we will fill them with the pictures we made of each child. After a break of fish (of the gold variety) in a net, we then made Jonah bean bags. The bean bags took a little more work than we anticipated but the kids did a wonderful job painting them. Tomorrow we will play Jonah bean bag with the target a whale "hand crafted" by Ginny Lummus. The writer thinks the whale looks a bit more like the big chicken, but that would be understandable since Ginny was born in Marietta.

The afternoon was spent on another grocery run to Vernal and Roosevelt. We're not sure who eats more -- the kids or us. We need supplies for our great cook-out at Red Fleet State Park tomorrow evening. Another car went into Roosevelt to shop at Moqui's Indian Crafts Store. As of the latest news after they left Moqui applied for a building permit to double the size of the store -- rumor is he's paying cash after this shopping expedition.

After a quick supper, we were off to the Ute Tribal Headquarters and Auditorium for the first ever Ute Talent Show. We saw about 25 acts and the highlight for all of us was Charlie Denny's hoop dance. Some got to see the dance and get to know Charlie in Atlanta in January. We were most excited when Charlie took first place.

Tomorrow is the last day of VBS and each day has gotten bigger so we're not sure what to expect. It's stormy and windy tonight and we're all tired.
