The next city was Assisi
Read about St. Francis of Assisi

Although not much time was spent here, words fail to describe how amazing it truly was. Between the beautiful view and the bonding we shared, it was one awesome city,

We first arrived at our hotel, Hotel De Angelo, which overlooked the valleys that were snuggled into the crevices of the surrounding hills. After we all picked up our fallen jaws and put away belongings in our rooms, we then ventured into the main part of the city.

We began by shopping around. Then we went to St. Francis. The beauty of the church was overwhelming and God moments where numerous. Next we ventured to St. Mary of the Angels. Inside this unbelievable church sat a cute little chapel. This was the original church. The bigger church was built around it. Many sat down and prayed while others simply wondered around in amazement. Later that day, we went to St. Francis. This church was built around the street where St. Francis had died, God "smacked us in the face."

After a nice lunch, we were given some free time. While some of us took pictures of each other in silly rainbow hats and chilled by the fountain, others decided to spend their free time wondering around to find a bathroom... even though there was one 3 feet away from our meeting place.... it did even out, however, when the first group got honked at by two very sketchy Italian workmen who happened to be sitting on each others' laps. We ended the day in Assisi with a silent walk home and a frikin sweet game of football. Riley earned the name "R-dawg" during that very game. It was a wonderful way to end an amazing day.
