Rite 13 Letter to Parents

Dear Parents of Rite 13 Youth:
- Riley Barrington, Taylor Baumann, Stephanie Burkholder, Shannon Jablonski, Kelley Kilgore, Sally Paris, Julian Senevirantne, Bronte Taylor, Bill Williams; and friends of Youth; Mary Cooley, Justin Dukes, Alex Hather, Alex Pepe -

We may never know who volunteered to go on the Rite 13 Beach Adventure, or who were encouraged to do so by their parents.  Whichever applies, we are proud of every one of these young people for stepping out, and having the courage to experience fellowship and peer bonding while at the same time enjoying the Florida panhandle.

The drive to and from Panama City Beach / The Blue Horizon Lodge and Retreat was filled with music, singing, sharing stories, games, calls from one vehicle to the other, stops at every Welcome Center, watching movies, entertaining each other, and getting to know one another better.  Now we all know how to say "hello" when answering the telephone.

The time spent in PCB was filled with laughter, swimming (pool and ocean), looking for shells and crabs, volleyball, basketball, mafia, sharing many family-style meals together, nightly runs for ice cream, a day at the water park, shopping for souvenirs, and walks on the beach.  Not to mention sharing God's love with one another.  We learned a lot while we were away, and we had fun doing it.  Thank you Brian for a great sermon on the beach - just wish there had been a breeze to keep us cool!

We are very proud of these Youth, who ventured into the unknown, but were willing to share this experience with each other.  And believe it or not, Brian never had to use his police voice!  We would gladly do another trip with this group and look forward to many more shared times together.  Parents: you should be proud of your children - they were all wonderful to be with and great representatives of St. Catherine's!

In Christ,
Bill Bowden, Rachel Bagby, Jennifer Massey, Keith Muckerman
